Pharmacy

At Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH), we know it is important for you to quickly and easily refill a prescription, or find out more about your prescribed medication. Your MyChart online health portal enables you to arrange medication refills wherever you are, and can send you notifications when medication is available for you to collect or renew. You won’t have to travel far to collect your medication, as all of our clinics have a pharmacy where prescriptions ordered by our expert physicians can be conveniently filled.

COVID-19 Special Measure

JHAH has put in effect temporary special measures to make sure that our patients continue to have access to medication.

In order to ensure your safety and to provide the best possible service, we recommend that you order your medication on MyChart two days before coming to the pharmacy, so you are guaranteed less waiting time at the pharmacy.

JHAH encourages you to use a JHAH pharmacy located nearest you to pick up your medications. The pharmacies located in the districts, Al-Midra Tower and the Dhahran Core Area Tower Building are meant to make your medication pick-up convenient and easy.

Please note: It is a requirement to show government-issued identification when collecting medication.

Find the Dhahran Drive-Through Medication Pick-up location is located behind the Dental Clinic (Building 54). Get directions

Available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday to Thursday, this service offers greater convenience and follows infection prevention best practice.

This new service is only available for medications ordered on MyChart:

  • Select the “DH Drive-Through Medication Pick-up location” on MyChart.

  • Medications are ready the following business day from the time of request.

Note: It is a requirement to show government-issued identification when collecting medication.

Pharmacy services at JHAH

Our pharmacists play an important role in providing you with value-driven pharmaceutical care of the highest quality and safety standards. In addition to checking that your medication is clinically correct, safe and accurate, they provide health advice on minor health concerns and will talk you through how to take any new medication. They can also support you with medication refill extensions up to 30 days, and process your medication renewals if your prescriber is not available.

Medication refill and renewal

Arrange for medication refills via your online health portal, MyChart. Once logged in, you can see when your medication is ready for renewal, easily request refills, and find out more about the medication you have been prescribed. You can also request MyChart notifications that will inform you when medication is ready for pick-up or renewal.

Order your medication refill

Alternatively, you can visit any of our Medication Management Clinics (MMC) to obtain a refill or call our Centralized Contact Center to request a refill. If your prescription needs to be renewed and your prescription supply is low, you can visit any MMC to obtain an extension renewal or call the Centralized Contact Center to place an extension renewal request in the system. An extension renewal is a smaller quantity that will ensure your medication doesn’t run out before your next physician appointment.

Home Delivery for Medication Refills

Our home delivery service for medication refills is available to JHAH patients residing in Al-Hasa, Doha, Dana, AlJamia, Rakkah, Dammam, and Khobar. Eligible patients are 60 years of age and above or patients in treatment for cancer (all ages).

EnviroGreen

JHAH is a keen supporter of ‘EnviroGreen’, which encourages the return of unused and/or expired medications, enabling healthcare professionals to dispose of them in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Please check your cabinet for unwanted medications, put them in a plastic bag and ensure that liquid preparations are sealed tightly to avoid any spillage. The bag can then be dropped off at our special collection bins, which you can find at all JHAH pharmacy locations.
