Dr. Manzary specializes in adult lower extremity joint reconstructive surgeries. He has an interest in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries, in particular total hip arthroplasty (THA) in patients with sickle cell disease and a research interest in functional outcomes for THA and total knee replacement (TKR) patients and in the anthropometrical parameters in Asian patients undergoing total knee replacement.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, an active member of the Saudi Orthopedic Association, serving as president (2008-2018) of the Association’s Arthroplasty Chapter. Dr. Manzary is also an active member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society. He also serves as an examiner for the Saudi Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2018, he received a National Patient Safety Award for obtaining a zero rate of infection in TKR. 

Dr Manzary graduated with honors from King Saud University College of Medicine in Riyadh, completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Toronto in Canada and did a fellowship in adult lower extremity reconstruction at the University of British Columbia in Canada.

He has designed and patented a proximal tibia retraction device; authored multiple THA and TKR articles and textbook chapters; and presented at more than 50 national, regional and international conferences. Moreover, he is a member of the team that developed the Hip and Knee Arthritis Outcome Data Set for the International Consortium of Health Outcome Measures.
