COVID-19 Patients & Visitors

Aligned with the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization directives, JHAH is taking proactive steps to prevent and limit COVID-19 and to ensure operational readiness and maintain flexibility should circumstances evolve in response to COVID-19.

Infection Prevention Entrance Screening

Infection Prevention Entrance Screening is now in effect. All patients, family members and JHAH staff entering JHAH will be screened by nurses. This consists of applying hand sanitizer, wearing a mask, answering questions related to travel history, and being assessed for symptoms, including cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, and getting checked for high temperature using an infra-red non-contact thermometer.

Impact of COVID-19 on JHAH services

Key information for patients and visitors

COVID-19 testing is critical to measure the spread of infection, treat those who are infected, and enable support measures that limit the disease from spreading.

Understand how and where we test for COVID-19 at JHAH, who to contact about testing, how to prepare for a COVID-19 test, information about test results, and what to do if someone tests positive.
