Ear, Nose and Throat

What is ear, nose and throat (ENT)?

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare’s (JHAH) department of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery – has been delivering expert care for all ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions for more than 30 years. We are the leading provider of ENT care in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Our team includes licensed and certified audiologists, pediatric otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons, speech language pathologists, and a first-rate clinical support team.

ENT treatments, services and procedures

If you or a loved one are dealing with an allergic or immunologic disease, we are here to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic care. We treat a wide range of allergy and respiratory conditions, specializing in rhinitis, sinusitis, and asthma, as well as food and drug reactions.

Most infants with just a cleft lip can be treated within the first months of life using a technique to suture the two sides of the lip together, leaving a scar that blends into the lip.

Cleft palate repairs are usually done between the ages of six to 18 months. This is a more complicated surgery, and is performed when the baby is bigger and more robust.

We also assess and treat general hearing loss, and if needed, we can fit you with hearing aids.

Our team of head and neck surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and speech language pathologists work together to address every aspect of your care. Every person – and every cancer – is unique, and we tailor our approach to your needs, using a full array of medical and surgical methods, including traditional and endoscopic surgery.

What to expect from our ENT services

Our experienced ENT care team will look after you every step of the way – from giving advice at your first consultation, through to ongoing support after your treatment.

Preparing for ENT treatment

You will be invited to a clinic, and at the first consultation we will assess your case. This may involve an in-depth assessment with a certified audiologist and speech language pathologist. You may also see a consultant surgeon to discuss your care.

Post-treatment and preventive care

Following your care, and depending on your specific treatment, you will have follow-up appointments. You may also be given rehabilitation exercises to carry out at home before your next or last session to ensure the best possible recovery.

Our patients say it best

The JHAH staff were friendly and helpful during the cochlear implant, which has already dramatically improved the quality of my son's life and future. Thank you.
